How we use your information
This privacy notice tells you what to expect when the Aurora Forum collects personal information.
Content Management System
No user-specific data is collected by either TtU or any third party.
Visitors to our website
When someone visits www.auroraforum.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. Data storage and security
Personal data collected by the Aurora Forum is stored securely and we will take all reasonable precautions to prevent personal data from being lost, used or accessed, altered or disclosed in an unauthorised way.
We limit access to your personal data to members of staff or third parties who have a business need to know. Your personal data will be used only on our instructions and subject to strict obligations of confidentiality. Without your explicit consent we will not sell, distribute or lease to a third party any of the personal data we collect unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so.
In the unlikely event that we suffer a data breach, we will notify you and any applicable supervisory authority, when we are required to do so.
Personal contact details are held by the Aurora Forum and used by the Steering Committee and members of staff only.
Your Rights To Know What Personal Data We Hold And Control And How We Use It
You have a legal right to know what personal data we hold about you – this is called the right of subject access. You can exercise this right by sending us a written request at any time. Please mark your letter “Subject Access Request” and send it to us by email using the details in the “How to contact us” section below.
You also have rights to:

- Have inaccurate personal data corrected, blocked or erased
- Object to decisions being made about you by automated means
- Object to our using your personal data in ways that are likely to cause you damage or distress
- Restrict our use of your personal data

Complaints or queries
The Aurora Forum takes any complaints we receive about privacy very seriously. We encourage people to bring it to our attention if they think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate. We would also welcome any suggestions for improving our procedures.
You are also entitled to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office which you can do by visiting their website. Whilst you are not required to do so, we encourage you to contact us directly to discuss any concerns that you may have and to allow us an opportunity to address these before you contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
